Birthplace Memorial Plaque to be Unveiled

Dublin City Council have unanimously ratified an application from the POC Fund for the placing of a plaque at the birth home of Patrick O’Connell in Dublin. The concept of a memorial plaque was first welcomed by the current resident of the house, and subsequently endorsed by the Council. Maureen O’Sullivan, TD for the area and a champion of the project has agreed to unveil the plaque along with Mike O’Connell and his wife Sue. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Christy Burke has also endorsed the project. Walshe Land Solutions will sponsor the works. An unveiling date in late May has been proposed…More to follow.
